What is proof of delivery?

Proof of delivery (POD) is the evidence that an order was completed and handed to the correct recipient. It commonly takes the form of a delivery photo, a one-time password (OTP) entered at the door, or a signature. POD closes the loop on a delivery and creates a clear record.

Without POD, disputes ("it never arrived") are hard to resolve and accountability is unclear. With it, merchants, customers and operations teams share a single source of truth for every completed order.
